Reporting, leaving, and what happens next

Last updated · 4 September 2026

If a conversation feels wrong, you can leave or report it immediately. Here is what those choices do.

1. How to report

The Report button is available at all times during a call. Choose the reason that best describes what happened:

Choosing any reason ends the conversation immediately and moves you to a new person.

2. What happens next

Your report goes into a queue for one moderator to review.

If several different people report the same person in a short window, that person is automatically disconnected and blocked for a period without waiting for a human review. A report that someone appears to be under 18 triggers that block immediately.

3. Leaving a conversation

You never owe a stranger an explanation. Next ends the conversation instantly and finds someone else. Closing the tab works too.

4. What Bereka records

Video and audio are never recorded. They pass directly between the two people. Chat text is relayed but not stored.

Connection details, reports, and consent records are kept so abuse can be acted on. Read the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

5. If something serious happened

If someone has been harmed, or if what you saw may have involved a child, report it in Bereka. The moderator acts on reports and may refer serious matters to law enforcement.

You should also report it to the appropriate local authorities.

6. Bereka is 18+

Bereka is only for people who are 18 or older. If you are under 18, this service is not for you.
